Our Story

Agora Virtuelle was founded on the observation that too few educational, cultural, and social activities remain accessible to adults with disabilities after the age of 18. For many, options are scarce, especially outside urban centers: isolation, limited mobility, and a lack of adapted services.

Drawing on several years of experience in inclusion and virtual facilitation, the founding members sought to create a sustainable, interactive, and welcoming space where participants can come together, learn, and thrive—from home, without physical barriers.

In November 2025, Agora was founded by a professional, passionate team deeply committed to the well-being and independence of its community.

Mission

Agora’s mission is to break down physical barriers by offering high-quality, bilingual virtual activities tailored to people living with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.

The organization promotes inclusion, personal development, intellectual curiosity, and autonomy among its members, while fostering lasting social connections and a sense of belonging to an active and supportive community.

Vision

To create a virtual community that celebrates diversity, a sense of belonging, and equal opportunity—a place where participants can thrive through enriching activities and reach their full potential.

Through its inclusive and interactive approach, Agora has a tangible impact on participants’ lives: it breaks down isolation, fosters personal growth, and builds self-confidence. The activities offered provide opportunities to learn, have fun, and contribute to group projects, all while developing social and emotional skills. This approach fosters engagement, collaboration, and a sense of belonging within a supportive environment that is accessible to everyone.
